I have read the tread on "feeding your fish resource center".
In particular the section where it reads that opening
a tub of food afterwards will only be an exceptionally
nutritious if consumed within 3 months.
As important nutrients will oxide.
I do know that certain name brands use
some method to preserve their finished
products. Such as "San Fransico Bay Brand"
that uses a liquid carbon dioxide freezing process.
I have the Hikari brand and inside
each container is a little pouch labeled nitrogen
recharger. I 've opened the Flake (Tetra color),
Micro Pellets, Freeze dried Blood Worms, Tubifex,
Brine Shrimp, Daphnia, but not the Krill.
Bought these last year been keeping these in
the freezer since in air tight bags.
I'd like to know if this helps if any to
extend the shelf life of these products.
