Explode

Is it possible for a fish to explode, i have a platy that has swollen up to double its size and was wondering what diesease would cause this at first i thought it was internal worms but i have treated with wormer plus this evening and she has swollen even more, all my other fish are doing great, she has swollen to such a extent that she floats when she trys to swim down she floats back to the top its the strangest thing ive ever seen and she doesnt look well at all, should i put her out of her misery.

I have put this fish out of its misery it wasnt doing well at all and had not eaten for days the only sign i noticed when it passed away, was that some redish thin like things came to the surface of the skin around the anus not sure what they were could of just been raised veins but she was swallon beyond repair really.

Camallanous worms are red in colour when they have been feeding on the blood.
