Do you have an opinion on Tangs? My LFS has a nice powder blue tang (about 3-4") but I'm not sure if it will fit in my 55g tank.

Thoughts?

Powder blues are one of the more difficult tangs to keep. They are pretty susceptible to ich from what I've heard. I don't think they could be kept in a 55g, but some other tangs could for a while at least. For example. kole tangs and yellow tangs.

A 3-4inch one would be ok in the tank but as mentioned above they are one of the hardest to keep alive and get to settle down. However, once they are settled into a tank they usually do well but won't tolerate another tang in their tank.
Yellow, purple, sailfin & regal blue tangs are easier to keep.

I agree with the above. They can be kept with other tangs if the tank is enormous, but otherwise no. It'll fit into the 55 gallon tank for a "while".

Yup, IMO if you don't have an autofeeder, don't bother. They need LOTS of food to stay healthy and avoid Ich.
