Fish Fanatic
Hi Everyone,
I've got a digital ph tester and its fantastic. my tap water is 7.5 and tank water is about 7.8.
I usually buy my fish from Pets at Home in Reading. Before when one fish died, they told me my ph was too high. I've just tested their water with my new device and their ph is the same as mine.
After reading lots of information on fish and their ideal ph i told the silly assistant that having the same water supply as them the ph would likely be the same. Also i've done work experience there a few years back and know how their filteration is setup. Water is taken out of each tank and filtered together then fed back into the tanks. This means that fish with different PH needs would have mixed water. I pointed this out to the assistand and was given my replacement fish with no problems. Now when i go into the store they don't ask any questions.
I think i've upset them. lol.
