Exciting Find

Could you try to get a clearer photo? I would say they are almost certainly Amano Shrimp as the body shape & eyes just do not seem right for ghost shrimp.

More info on ghost shrimp here.

Like i said New pictures although i havent moved her yet im a little bit hesitant with that

Wow still having trouble focusing well i think they're better now eh? It looked so good on the Little screen on my camera

Let me know what you think im kinda novice when it some to shrimp care and aqautic photography :p
Thanks alot guys/gals

That's without a doubt Amano shrimp :good:

So, unless you have a full salt water setup ready and waiting to hatch the zoes, there's no need to remove her. Note: the female never ever goes into salt water.
However, if you do wish to go down that route, a few of us here at TFf have tried and you'll find some threads over in the shrimp section.

No I dont think im going to take try that i only have a one gal tank ready for her and neither do i have the space or money for another tank. But if you think a one gal setup with either no filter, undergravel filter or a small sponge filter will work i cant really do anything. Id have to buy a sponge filter but thats nothing. Im not confident in my abilities especially with the amount of time work is taking up currently if i could give a ton of axtra attention for the eggs. But mabey since one of you said you tried to raise them if you could give me the jest of the situation so i can get a better picture on whether or not i shold attempt it.

Also im just wondering do many Amano Shrimp owners get this happening or am i doing something right to get them to breed?

I agree they look like Amano shrimp, how long are they?

Here's a pic of one of our two pregnant females i took today.

Really not sure to be honest. But guess if they weren't happy in their environment, they wouldn't breed.

If you don't have lots of time and dedication and a salt water tank setup (no, 1 gallon will not suffice), then I'm afraid it won't work. I found it very time consuming and rather stressful! Just let her be and leave her in your main tank :)

Ya i figured one gal would not work thanks alot for the help and yeah ill have to leave her in this tank. Thanks again guys.
