Ever Wondered How They Put And Elephant On A Train?

the circus is in town (Barnum & Bailey)..and they offload the animals at our facility and then walk them down to the civic center (about 5 miles or so).

An elephant surely can't fit through those holes...right? They must have a special way out...right?

lol..there were a few folks out there, I think down the road a crowd had gathered...they do this every year (walk them down the tracks)...but where I was there weren't many people. Mostly because they aren't allowed on the tracks lol.

I didn't think the holes looked big enough either...but then they just started popping out lol...so turns out..they were big enough .

I'm sure they have to comply with animal rights...those people are all over circus'.

THey do this in all cities they travel to, if I'm not mistaken...as most ampetheaters aren't directly beside the train yards lol.

They only have to walk 5 miles..and they are walking very slowly and away from traffic (well in most places, but cops have traffic blocked off where they have to cross intersections).

I'd say 75% of the horses had on actual "shoes" too...to protect their entire foot...because they aren't shod (the other 25% are..they are the jockey horses..the ones being ridden).
