at the uni i go to they were asking for volunteers to inject small ammounts of cone shell venom and study the results, i don't think they got many volunteers!

My parents use to live on the beach and they would see those suckers move around. I actually have a shell of one in my aqaurium right now. They're pretty because they make a shiny coat on their shell to stop starfish from grabing onto their shells.
