Hi
I recently left a message explaining that so many of my fish were dead within 12 hours, now the amount is even higher.
Last monday i done a 30-40% water change and only when the waer was taken out the tank i realised i only had a very small amount of tap water conditioner so i put in what was remaining. From monday to thursday all appeared fine until friday when i noticed that one by one my fish were dying - even the ones i had from when i first set the tank up over 6months ago. Yesterday i purchased a large bottle of tap water conditioner and added some into the tank. This morning i added some 'good bacteria' into the tank too. but yet more of my fish are dying - i looks like its dying now too. in total iv lost over 10 fish in my 90litre tank these include: 2 mollys, 1 plec, 1 swordtail, weatherloache, 1 pink tetra, 1 danio, 1 catifish and so on....now i only have the following remaining: 1 pink kissing gourami,1 pink tetra, 1 ram, 1 ghost shrimp and 1 mono.
i really dont know what to do nexr, as my fish wont stop dying......advice urgently required/appreciated

The water in the tank will have no chlorine left it will have gone. You need to do a LARGE water change and add the conditioner to it BEFORE adding it to the tank!

This morning i added some 'good bacteria' into the tank too. How did you do this?

What are your water stats?

i was unsure of i was able to do another large water change after only having done one earlier in the week.
the good bacteria is a liquid similar to stress zyme - on the bottle it says it treats any problematic water. i have not yet got testing kit- i will take a sample of tank water into my local shop

Ok mate that stuff doesn't really work. You need to get some mature media from a friend maybe LFS or just keep doing big water changes. You can never do too many water changes!

You will find that you have ammonia in your water so you need to do big water changes. 1 a day at least. Have a read of fish in cycling as that is what you will be doing at the moment.

Have a search and I will also find a link for you!

Try this and good luck!

Make sure your cleaning your filter in tank water not tap water also, common mistake especially if you dont check your water stats so dont know anything is up. Chlorine in the tap water will kill the bacteria so you have to re-cycle every time.

Sometimes, even fish that have suffered from ammonia will act ok for a day or so after a water change because they aren't being "burnt" by it anymore but the damage is often done.

Are you still doing large water changes every single day? You are in a fish in cycle so need to follow the guidelines accordingly :good:
