Erect Moss

Hi There,

I was on Ebay looking for some java moss and ended up getting a cup of java moss and a cup of erect moss (that's how the seller is selling it). So here's the question...anyone familiar with erect moss? I haven't been able to find much info on it.

Best I can suggest is that it is a cultivar of regular Vesicularia dubyana. There is a little info here. All rather tenuous at the moment I'm afraid.

So you bought it from that little boy then? I think that it may be a java moss that is just a little dif. Have you recieved it yet. It sure looked nice...

Just treat it like regular moss and you'll be fine. It's much prettier though! BTW, last time I hear, the name for this moss was Vesicularia dubyana var. 'Boner'

Unfortunately, I've read some posts elsewhere about that particular seller...I guess we'll wait and see. It was a semi-impulsive buy. I wanted some java moss for a fry tank that I'm setting up and I figured "what the heck, lets see what this erect moss is" Will post an update when I recieve it.

Hehehe...haven't heard of Vesicularia dubyana var. 'Boner' although I have seen it described as Christmas Moss on Viagra...
