Trying to get my SW tank started, but I would like some advice as to whats will be the best products will be. For the record my tank is 25 gal, don't know the dimensions atm. But for future reference which dimensions do you put first? WidthxHeightxDepth? I would like a good (but not the most expensive) brand for the following:

Protein Skimmer (Currently have a Red Sea Prizm, but Have heard bad things about it)
An RO thingy
Hydrometer (I've seen so many differen't types I don't know what to get!)
And a TDS meter

Help would be appreciated because I've searched the net for hours and looked through many contradicting user reviews and I still have little clue.

Display the dimensions as Length of footprint X width of the footprint X depth of water

-Skimmer (if you want one, dont necessarily need one on a 25) should be a Coralife Superskimmer and/or AquaC remora
-RO, head over to ebay or buckeye field supply. You want a unit that has a flushing valve built into it which most decent quality ones have.
-Hydrometer, OK, refractometer MUCH better. Especially for a nano, I'd rather have the accuracy of the refractometer. Just get the standard marinedepot.com one, or you could try ebay
-TDS meters usually come with an RO unit, but if they dont, you can buy just about any one out there. They're exceptionally simple pieces of technology and any brand will do.

Dont forget LR, sand, powerheads, heater, and lighting (if you want corals)

Only things I would add

Skimmer: or a small ASM (G1 or mini)
Whether hydrometer or refractometer, must callibrate vs. a known 35ppt solution.
