I have a 29gallon Marineland tank with a Penguin 200 filtration system (with bio-wheel). We just set it up yesterday evening and have been letting the water filter but just a little bit ago the filter stopped moving. Not really sure what to do. It is the only thing not working and everything is on the same extension cord so it is not an electrical issue...but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Make sure the biowheels are on the runners if those are what stopped. If the whole thing stopped try the motor. Maybe it's clogged? Also were you planning to cycle this tank?

Ok, the bio-wheel is on the runner...I think the whole system has stopped because there is no noise and no movement. What would cause it to clog? Sorry about the dumb questions, I have a slight disability and am trying my hardest to understand all of this. I do want to cycle my tank but i'm not sure how??? I have read the newbie stuff but I don't seem to be comprehending any of the information.

Some of the junk coming from the tank could have clogged it. And to fishless cycle you'll need to dose your tank to 4ppm ammonia whenever it drops to 0 until ammonia and nitrites are processed into nitrAtes in under 12 hours.
