Start with 1/3 tablespoon, or 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons. Increase by 1/3 tablespoon, or 1 teaspoon daily for a few days to bring it up to a maximum of 1 tablespoon, or 3 teaspoons per 10 gallons.
A fish died of some sort of internal bacteria, and someone suggested I put epsom salts in the tank to flush out the other fishies systems.. in case there's any bacteria in any of their stomachs or whatever.
Epsom salt acts as a natural laxitive, very similar to feeding a shelled pea, but works when a fish isn't eating or isn't interested in eating peas. It also helps remove fluid by creating a difference in osmotic pressure between the fish & the water it is in.
