Enough light??

I have "plant" light bulbs on my 10-gal tank. They are 15 watts each, with 2 of them in the hood. Is this bright enough for most plants?

if those are fluorescent lights, then yes, it is plenty if the bulb is the right color (around 6,700k)

if they are incadescent lights, then they are worth next to nothing for plants

Well, they are bluish-color incandescent bulbs that are supposed to be for plant growth. There are reflectors on it. Are there any incan. bulbs that will work good? It came with just normal looking ones.

Incandescents are pretty bad for aquariums. I would try to make a switch to flourescents. It doesn't really matter if it says it's good for plants, the best light for plants is 5000K to 6700 K. I could say I was a mathmetician, but I'm not. But how would you know?
