Well Dan and myself took a trip to Crews Hill again today and came away with more fishies. I got pretty much the same as last time, another sturgeon cat and another bichir.

So here's my Platystoma Sturio and Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri.... only in box pictures at the moment, by the time i got them up to my PH the blue lights were only on, in the tank so more pics weren't possible.

Both have already stuffed down a lance fish.

Well needs must! Tetras and live bearers just don't do it for me. So have to travel a bit to get the right fish.

You got quite a collection of fish

Thanks very much!

Aww, they're gorgeous... Love the cat, bichir and ST... And Smiler, too :D How big do the cats get, I'd like to get me one of them :D

The sturgeon cats max out at around 14" and Smiler will get to around 20".

Yeh we forgot your bib didn't we Dan!

That was the half way mark on this journey, we then went to amesbury in wiltshire to pick up my Altuvei, stopping at fleet service station on M3 on route to collect Borris. 375mile round trip. Left Clacton at 10am and arrived back in Clacton at 9.45pm.
Great day, except I kept spilling coffee down meself  :S

fair enough, come to think of it i've done a 150 mile round trip for light bulbs... thats even worse come to think of it. i've never heard of mail order...

Well Dan and myself took a trip to Crews Hill again today

thats what threw me. the post was left at 12.30 ish today so i thought you'd been to crews hill and back in that time. i thought you'd left home at 6am or something.. obviously you went yesterday. you guys really do search far and wide for the best fish dont you. it's not surprising you both have such a great collection. did you say hello to collette (Vixon) while you were in wildwoods?

Oh you bought the sturgeon cat, I was seriously contemplating getting it for CFC next time we went down, oh well I'm sure they'll get some more in. Lovely fish.

You blokes are almost as bad us as Yanks across the pond. My mates and I travel from San Francisco to Los Angeles and further for fish. That's about 500 miles each way  Lots of importers there. That's where we get the oddball predatory fish cheaper :D

Yeh hopefully they will get some more in, I plan to have a group of 3-4. I bought the bigger one from Maindenheads last time we went enfield.
