I found three in a store some 20 miles from home today and couldn't resist the little darlings. Having gotten a few others today too my tank is looking full now and I shan't be putting anymore in. I just wondered if anyone knew much about these rather beautiful fish as I know absolutely nothing about them! I have good peaceful tankmates with them (platties, harlequins, tetras and a couple others I forget the name of :*) ). SO now I have a total of 15 in my 60 litre with a 4ft tank (approx 32 gallons), or possibly a bigger 260litre, on the way soon for catfish. I've got the perfect bunch for it already lined up.
Anyway, yes, anyone got any knowledge about the endlers? I tried doing some searches but to no avail.
Hugs,
P.

Endlers are very similar as far as maintanence and stocking goes to guppys i.e 2-3females per male, but they are more sensitive to water quality conditions than standard guppys and so not good for a cycling or recently cycled tank.

Water quality is good in the tank and holds a steady ph. I shall be watching water parameters very closely over the next few weeks. I've been checking nitrites daily recently anyway and shall continue to do so. Water change today and everyday if need be. They only had 3 males. I have yet to find any females but if I do I shall consider giving them a tank of their very ownsome. They really are beautiful.
Thanks for the links Annastasia. Wonder why when I did a search on google it didn't work.

Endler females are VERY hard to find. If you ever come across some, get them! And you're welcome for the links. You have to type in "Endler's Livebearer", if you want to get much. :)

^In which case I shall be doing a major hunt for females and they can have a 10 gallon to keep as home. Oh dear, that and the betta tank and the large 30+ gallon to come I am so doomed.

P.
