Hey everyone,

I am new here but have been lurking around for a bit now. I have seen pics of the Endlers and have fallen in love with them! I have read up on them on this site by reading older posts about them. I have learned that they are related to the guppies and that it's best to keep endlers and guppies seperate. I wanted to ask though if you could keep just endlers in a 5 gallon tank? If so how many could you put without over stocking?

Yep, you can. Easily. :)

I'd start with a trio, personally. 1 male, 2 females. It may look empty, but they'll soon have fry which you can raise to fill it up. It's better then filling it up in the beginning only to find...you have no place for fry!

Thanks very much Annastasia! :)

I think I will try to look into doing this! If I am able too then I will take your advise and start out with that!

One other thing...make sure you get pure Endler females. Sometimes Guppy females will be passed off as Endlers, and Endlers are slowly becoming less and less pure. So I would recommend, if at all possible, get the Endler females from an experienced breeder, or a trustworthy one. :)

Keep us updated on them, I love to hear about other people's Endlers. :D

Thanks for all of the tips! I will be sure to keep all of this in mind. :)

Plus livebearers are active fish and need alot of swimming space so i think a 10gal would be better too, and more forgiving with water quality.
