I have 4 endlers and 11 fry in a 25L. It has a great filter, and the fry will be given away asap so there's no problems there. However i have 2 males and 2 females, and both males only seem interested in one of the females. She gets chased almost constantly and i'm getting a little worried for her. I wanted to put the males in my community tank, but when i tried the platies bullied them constantly. I'm considering a tank divider, but what else could i do to help stop the chasing?
After the fry have grown i think i'll give away the females and keep a total of 4 males (or vice versa).

I have kept pure endlers in small tanks with very few females. Since endler males court females, and do not harass them, I never feared for the females. If you have common pet shop endlers, most likely they are guppy crosses and you can forget my observations on them. The crosses do not act like pure endlers and rather forceful attempts to mate can be made by the males. In that case, removing males and/or adding females to achieve a ratio of at least 2 females to each male would be a good idea. The generalizations we make about common livebearers are more likely to apply to a guppy cross than to a wild type endler like mine. My colony of enormous numbers started with nothing bu 2 pairs of selected pure endlers, I selected mature males for color and females for being immature and un-mated. After a few generations, this was the result in a 45 gallon tank.

There are no stressed females in that tank and never have been. Even the 2 immature females that I started the colony with were simply productive in the first few generations, even though they were living with 2 mature males.

I have guppy crosses, hence the forceful males. I wanted to keep 3 or 4 females in my tank and some males with the platies, but mow it seems that i'll have to choose between them :( Do platies constantly bully smaller fish? They're always curious about new fish, but after a while they leave them alone. This time it didn't stop.
