sometimes when i buy feeder guppies, i get some that have colorful spots on them, are these endler's livebearers or just guppies

Couldn't really say without seeing a picture. Could be they're a Endler/Guppy cross or just plain guppy.

I find the majority of feeders resemble endlers. Actually this one lfs had a big tank of "feeder" guppies and were selling them for like 60 cents each. I was going to buy some a couple weeks later then all of sudden the name was changed to Endler's for $3 each! .

i've seen endler feeder fish for 14 cents each before

endlers will be about 1/3 of the size of guppys and be very colourful ful of different colours and the females are about twice the size and bland no colour what so ever.
hope that helps ya

Well feeders can also make good pets ..... i don't know about fish but i had 2 rats (one died) and they are like DOGS !!! one is a feeder 1 a dumbo just smaller, live in a cage and can climb. ........but what exactley is a endler ???

They are related to Guppies, can breed with Guppies and I suppose, could be sold as Feeders, but ???

Endler's are supposedly endangered in the wild, but they breed readily in home aquariums. Unfortunately, they are often kept with guppies, and produce crosses, which is further depleting their population.

From my experience, the "feeders" would probably be either crosses, or NOT Endler's, but Wild Mexican Guppies. They have color, just not the "Neon" colors of the Endler's.

These are a few of the Wild Types

I see one's like the last pic around here being sold as Feeders.

HTH :)
