I've got a couple Honey Gouramis in a tank and I'm thinking about putting some Endler's in there too (great little fish).

May be bit of a silly question but have any people had success with raising Endler fry while Honey Gouramis (or dwarfs for that matter) are hovering around in their tank? Or do the gouramis just hunt them down and all I've done is given them a free meal?

I'm guessing heavy planting would help, any low light plants that would help? I've been looking for "Guppy Grass" (Najas something, i forget) but they seem to be hard to find down under.

Thanks all

you will get a few survive due the numbers they will produce, but the Gouramis will eat most.

As for plants Java moss is the best for fry.

Wow, my Endler female decided to give birth this morning and i think i have around 20-30 little guys swimming around.

Funnily enough, the 2 Honey Gouramis don't quite seem interested in eating them, but, even if they did the fry seem a bit too fast and agile for them. I've got some floating watersprite and a few clumps of java moss here and there but they don't seem to like them, they just swim around about an inch under the water surface.

Btw, anybody know how often i should be feeding these little guys?
