I have platys and guppies in my community tank I'm just waiting till my 200l cycles till I transfer them over it shouldn't take too long we are using established media and not planning to add more fish than we already have so after a juggle I will have a 60l tank that I plan to keep for my endlers, now I know not to mix them with guppies as they can cross breed, how do I know the ones I buy from my LFS are not already crossed?

Also any tips on keeping them. Is it the same ratio as for all live bearers? 1-3/4.

Thanks
Moll

dont buy from a shop it's simple or ebay unless it's stated at "class N".

Goto a breeder who breeds "Class N" endlers these will have data going back to wild fish.
Keith565 would be the best person up your way to contact.

Class N endler is a classification in the system set up by ELBAA. Nobody else is obligated to use it. That said, I personally only by class Ns from people that I am sure of. There are far too many people that throw the word around and proceed to sell you a hybrid. After a while looking at the details of an endler's appearance, a hybrid looks wrong and if you study it a bit you can usually figure out what about it looks wrong.

Edit: spelling got me again
