Endler Hybrid?

Some shops to only get males as they sell, just as many get pairs to sell, how ever most shop fish are crosses already.

Best give away is if the dorsal fin is long like in male guppies, true endlers have small dorsal fins.

I've gone on a mad search for endler females today in Gloucester....none of the LFS have them....all males!

very nice hybrid
what else can croos with guppies?
its sword/platy

endlar/guppy/mollie?

i allways get very confused!

in my lfs they tried to sell me female endlars as female guppies so maybe look in there you may be able to spot them
reason most places only sell the males is coz the females are soooooo dull. but pretty in there own way

Only guppies and endlers cross easily, will cross with mollies but very weak and few surive.
will not cross with platies or sowrds.

How can you tell the diff. of a female endler and a regular feeding guppy? no thats very confusing. Do they have something that makes them obviously diff? if there is, I'd like to know.

And I see that I'm not the only one seeing only male endlers for sale. Modaz and Omen666 are also having trouble finding females. should we just get feeder females?

The only differance between female endlers and guppies are the females in endlers don't get as large.
Or cultivated females has colours in the fins, but that is not a rule.

If you want true endlers dont buy them in shops plz.

As u never know what ur getting and their 90% of the time crosses...

I started out with a Bi Orb 60 litre with a male guppy and endler male and 4 females...

I had a load of babies so I got a Vision 180 litre. Those babies are now in that tank...well for weeks now I've been eyeballing this unusual fish because he was so pretty and unique. I am sure he is a cross but I want to know what he is. I had no idea what an endler was and thought it was just a small guppy until I read more on them. Oops!

Is this what he is? I have 2 endlers in the tank now as well ...is it such a bad thing to let them cross? Opinions please but don't savage me if I have done something wrong lol...

I thought I would update this post.

I never added any other endlers to my collection especially after I found out it was another species and they should not be mixed with guppies. However the mistake being made I did continue to let those offspring breed and these are about 4th generation babies.
