I think the title says it all! What would be good living in a 20g long tank? I've got this tank empty now after putting the 60 up for the convicts...now what to do with it!!
I'm going to use my Fluval 3 internal, fake plants and stone decor. No heater so I'm thinking cold water somethings.

No heater?

Well it all depends on what temperature the water in the tank is without a heater.

If your water is as warm as 22C you can get away with corys.
Minnows can be kept in any coldwater tank up to about cory levels.
You could probably fit 1 fancy goldfish, maybe 2 if you get a really small species.
Livebearers can be kept as cool as corys.
Bettas can be as cool as corys.
Danios can cope as low as 18C.
Hillstream and Weather loaches.

Axolotls dude! Ditch the gravel though, get sand and your pretty much away ;)

Axolotls!

Or chinese hillstream loaches in a biotope? would be cool. :good:

Unfortunatnely Axos are hard to come by in my area. I had one years ago in high school, he was cool. Actually I think he was a tiger salamander nymph or whatever their babies are called, gills and all, never lost them but there was a faint tiger sal pattern to his skin.

They got killies at the store, they're awesome...but hubby says wait til after the holidays, so i hafta wait.
loving the ideas though :D

White cloud mountain minnows. :)

White clouds I can do, they're common. I was thinking small fish like that. Maybe black tetras, gold tetras. a schooling species. If i have to I can get a heater but who knows. so many options!

Put some money into it: get some live rock a heater and a skimmer and do a nice SW pred tank; either a smaller frogfish or scorpionfish would look great in there.
