Well, this afternoon i noticed one of my female emperor tetras sporting an alarming bulge on the side of her body, she normally is very shy and quiet anyway so it may have been like this for a time.
The tank is 165L
ph is not ideal for emperors, around 7
ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates anout 20, water is also medium hardness(I know, not ideal for emperors)
Temp is mantained at around 28C, but on hot days it can fluctuate
Ok well the fish isn't behaving oddly, just has a large bulge on one side of her, with what looks like a tiny white thread in the centre? Could it be some kind parasite?
Recently i have been feeding them with some mosquito larvae from a bucket, could it be something from them?
The tank is not that new, been running well for around 6 months, with no recent additions
