Emergency - Help Needed!

More the parasite meds with inverts.
But I would remove the frog and strimp if you can.
Increase aeration as well.
Good luck.

OK, I've managed to lay my hands on some Pimafix and I'm ready to add the first dose. It's also 24 hours since the first dose of Myxazin so I need to do that at the same time. Is this safe or should I add them 12 hours apart?

Also, can I just make sure that it's safe to use full doses of both or should I halve them?

It may be difficult to remove the frog and shrimps so I'll have to risk it....

Just an update, only removed 1 kuhlie loach today (but I think it had been dead quite a while and was hidden in the foliage).

Swift response is much appreciated.

You have a bad strain of columnaris add both meds at full dose, but increase aeration in the tank.
Good luck.

Thanks Wilder.

Just a quick situation update....

Been dosing 12ml of Myxozin since Thursday and 40ml Pimafix since Friday. No more casualties until today - a glowlight danio- that I removed from surface plants. No telling how long he'd been there due to the dense vegetation where I found him.

None are showing any signs whatsoever and behavior seems normal - apart from 1 siamese flying fox (true) who seems to be keeping himself to himself and being away from the rest (I have 4 in total). He's not eating as much either like the rest, who are constantly foraging around.

I've been dosing the tank at the same time each day. Dose 4 of Myxazin is due soon. The bottle says it's a 5 day course but how do I know that the infection is really gone? As I said, only a couple of the many fish that I have lost showed any signs of infection.

On a secondary note; my hospital tank that is now full of fry, I have turned off the filter tempororily. It seemed that the fry were struggling against a constant strong current so I gave them a bit of a rest. Is this wise? Can I turn the filter off at night and have it on during the day or should I leave it on constantly?

Another update soon...

Do a 30% water change and start the med again once the course has finished.
The filter don't turn it off your bacteria colony will die off.
Cut a pair of womans tights up and place over the outlet nozzle with a rubberband this way the fry won't get sucked into the filter.
Point the flow towards the glass to break the current.

OK,

I did the 30ish% water change on Tuesday evening and continued on another 5 day course of 12ml Myxazin and 40ml Pimafix. All was going ok until Thursday when I had to remove 2 tetras (1 x neon and 1 x black phantom) - no signs of anything again. I continued the course, the fifth and final day being today. Tomorrow would bring another 30% water change and I hoped that all would be OK.

Then disaster strikes again! A clown loach! My favourite! about 6" long. And I've got a siamese flying fox that isn't looking to good either - his eyes are clouded over and his fins are ragged and white at the tips.

After one of my clowns died, I feel a bit dejected but I still have many fish worth saving. Am I using the right meds? Is there something else I could be doing? I have a small air pump on 24/7 whilst the meds are being used, but I am still adding Co2 during daylight hours (on a timer 11-11). Am I suffocating the fish?

On another note, I've wrapped the small filter in a pair of tights which helps a lot. Thanks for the tip.

So the meds done nothing.
You really need antibiotic from a vet but it would wipe the bacteria colony out in the filter.
Cloudy eye is a symtom of a desease not a desease in it's self.
