Emergency Again!

Ok this topic links in to my previous post but no one is replying and I really need some urgent help!!!!

Today I posted this: Got up today and saw all my fish were ok. Been in and out of the room checking on them and in the last 1hour 2 of my 6 harlequins dead. They were perfectly healthy! I have tested water again and its still all fine. All the rummys are fine and looking better but I haven't started the treatment yet as I haven't been able to get it. Got 'Waterlife Sterazin Gill Flukes and Worms' and 'Interpet Anti white spot'. Planning on using the Gill Flukes one today but how long between treatments? How long after using that can I then treat for white spot?

The 2 harlequins were belly side up and arched inward? They had full colour even though they were dead but they had a yellowsh sheen to their backs. Can't believe I have lost them out of all the fish they were absolutely fine earlier, seems to have happened very fast. Help?!


Now ontop of that I have just switched my light on to find that the 4 remaining harlequins all have no tails!! There has been absolutely no sign of fin rot atall and I really can't see what's causing it! What shocks me is that they have lost there tails in literally the last hour tops. How come its so quick!?
Will be geting that treatment too tomorrow but the same question applies.

Which medication do I use first; Parasites, Clubbed Gill, Fin rot or white spot? And how long after finishing one treatment can I start the next?

Sounds far too fast for fin rot.

Other than that I can't honestly say where I'd start, other than remember to take the carbon out of the filter when you treat. I'd pick a treatment and go for it and cross everything.

Can you get hold of esha2000 and esha exit?
These two meds can be used together so effectively can treat White spot, gill problems and fin rot all at the same time rather than choosing wich med to go with first.

Please give us background information on your setup: size of the tank, what's in the tank (plants, wood, rock, kinds and numbers of fish), how long you've had the setup, etc. Also please list your water analysis.

The first thing I always do is a large water change, especially when a fish has died. From there I would follow the advice of alihar and use just the one medication, rather than mixing and possibly harming your fish.

Hi thanks for replies. Another harlequin is dead, one of them with 'fin rot' looking into esha medication at the moment, will keep you updated.

Do a 80-90% water change with dechlorinated and temperature-matched water right away. It can't hurt and may help a lot.

What fish have u got in the tank might they have been eaten by another fish I had this problem with my guppys and didn't realise that I couldn't keep them with my red eye tetras and also weren't told by the shop they weren't compatible maybe some 1 on here will know more the type of fish you have I wouldn't have a clue about the medication situation you have but I hope you get it sorted
