Hello Everyone!

As some may know I took in this little guy afew months back and he had a bad case on SBD >.< Which luckly with treatments & foods I managed to get him over and back into perfect health......
Anyway he ended up been homed in my Cousins 5G tank(He was other thing in there apprently) anyway when I went to my Cousins today for a Xmas Visit.... I found the poor guy in this condition!

Now I thought it could be Finrot but sadly my local stores are all closed til day after boxing day >.<!!!!
I have taken him off my cousin and he's now home with me! And won't be going back!!!!

Now I'm not 100% sure if its Finrot, Dmg from Filter or cause he's kept fish he shouldn't off with him and not said....

Any advice would be GREAT!
He's in nice clean water with a small amount of salt at the moment cause I have no finrot treatment in >.<

 you are doing all you can for him poor fellow at least he is in clean water...

Just hope it isn't finrot >.< trust shops not to be open now for 3 days >.<
I added the salt cause thats apprently a good thing for finrot....
Well Betta website says neway.

He has a small filter in too to keep it extra clean but its sets to VERY Low bubbles so it doesnt annoy him.

She's swimmin around the tank which is a good sign and I'm 99% sure he's eaten some flakes.
he's had a poop but it's white n cloudy which makes me think he could have a internal problem too!
Luckly I do keep internal meds in 24/7!
Just annoyin when I got him fulyl cured from SBD then he's like this >.<

there anyway to tell if its fin rot or just attack/filter?

For the time being be sure to keep his water clean this will help his tail heal hopefully if it isn't fin rot. Do you know the types of other fish your cousin had in the tank?

Do you have any salt on hand? I do not know how much you need, but you may be able to use it. Note: don't use just any salt, as that could prove lethal.

Hey,

Yea I have sued Aquarium Salt in the tank already, It's just a small 1G tank as I was unprepared to be taking him home >.<
He's got a Heat Lamp also to keep water temp up and a mature filter(Bubble type)
I had put 1 tbsp on salt to the water(I put it into the net and let it slowly disolve)

He is swimming around now and does look better then when he first came back.
No signs on SBD again.

To keep him perked up I'm giving him 47% Protien Flakes & Bloodworm also a 15% water change every 2 days.
His colour seems to be better today.

I'm just hoping it's not Finrot >.<
I'm startin to think it is finrot tho after reading some websites.
As soon as TONG reopens I'm gonna buy some Melafix until then I'm gonna keep going with the salt til I can get Melafix.
