Well, at the beginning of this year, I've started a project which I had in mind for quite a while. And that is to create a green shorttailed guppy strain which resembles the color emeraldgreen. At this stage, I already have males with an illuminating light green color. And it seems that more males are developing like this. One had got still some red in his dorsal but the other ones have just black in their dorsal. But I'm on the right track.
I already had the neon endler hybrid. But that was a breeding form I've created from the black bar endler where the red fragments were eliminated. But I don't want to see this black bar on both sides of those males. And I didn't any short sword markings in the caudal. So, I had to follow a different path to create what had in mind. For my wish to create a guppy strain that carries my website and avatar name was on my wishlist for quite some time. And emeraldgreen should be light shiny green jst like the gemstone itself.
I do have to say that it will still take some time to refine this new strain. When I create a new breeding form, then I become very critical of myself.
