Ember tetras in my 10 gallon! Can I add pygmy corys?

I have to get the water conditions right, PH and GH. I read that they do not go after their fry but do eat the eggs. I have a 10 gallon tank ready to go when I am able to add a few more to my shoal. I hope to be able to breed enough fry to hit 20 or even a few more.

A group of 10 pygmy corydoras would be perfectly fine in the 10g even with a group of ember tetras
