Elodea And Goldfish

As the title says Elodea (not sure about variety) and goldfish; will the fish make it a tasty snack or would it survive?

Does depend on the goldfish, some of mine seem to love it, especially the small roots, where as others just completely ignore it.
It's rather cheap though, so buy a small amount first and see how you go.
