Hey everyone :D. How's everyone doing?

I've eventually been able to get my hands on a new tank for my two surviving fish. I got the Elite 35 Tropical tank instead of the cold water tank just incase I decide that i'm going to move on to keeping Tropical fish. My question is though in this 35litre tank how many fish would I be able to keep in it and can I have more than one kind of goldfish in the one tank?

Thanks
sarah

sorry to tell you but a fully grown goldfish needs around 100 liter tank to him/her self they can grow to be very big

goldfish produce very big amounts of waste witch means that you will have to do big and regular water changes to keep goldfish you need a very good filtration system in your tank

you can keep any kind of goldfish in one tank they are good tanks mates
but like i said you should really think about keeping goldfish

you will have to cycle your new tank .... you need good bacteria in your tank if you want your fish even to live

you should go to your local fish store and buy a test kit ... so you would know the amount of ammonia and nitrite

hope i could help

It's just a thought haven't decided if I am getting any more yet. If I was going to move on to tropical I do have someone that could take on the two that I have she has a massive aquarium.

Agree with the other members. The first goldfish needs 30 US gallons (20 if it is a tri-tail fancy type) and each added one needs another 10 US gallons provided. Even with that they would really be more comfortable in a pond.

And I also agree with the comment that the first thing you have to be thinking about with any new tank is the cycling process. That can take anywhere from a couple of weeks (if you use some mature media from a running tank) to 2 months if you have to do it from scratch.
