Electric yellows with tiger barbs?

Hello everyone,

Just wondering what are your thoughts on this, will Electric yellows get along with tiger barbs? Maybe?

The Electric yellows i was looking at were about 4-5inches, and the tiger barbs are full grown 2.5 years old. There are 6 tiger barbs.

Should be ok now but when the yellows get bigger they may think they are lunch. Having said that they will probley not c atch them so go for it.

My biggest concern was that the tiger barbs my bother the yellow lab, but having thought about it they have never really botherd any of the other fish. I have several other tanks that the tigers could be rehomed if needed.

Next question, I have white sand as a substrate in my tank, with lots of caves, rocks, and drift wood. This should be ok for the yellow lab correct? Just checking on the sand.

Sand is ideal. They will sift through the sand looking for food.
