Electric Yellows? Advice Please

I've started another thread but have no replies so I'll ask a specific question.

Once my tank is cycled, can I add six electric yellows and then at a later date add different coloured Malawi's or should I be adding every single fish at the same time? If the latter - I'm not sure I can afford to do that.

I hope to get catfish (thinking a group of multi) and Electric yellows first. Maybe followed by six Electric Blue or powder blue a few weeks later?

Tank is 260l and I am also unsure of what the "overstocking" rule is for malawis.

Yes, that will be fine as long as you add a good amount of fish when you add your next batch then everything will be ok . When you say the 'overstocking' rule do you mean the limit for a malawi tank? or the general meaning of overstocking the tank?

Thanks, yeah I'm having trouble figuring out how many of the fish I like I "should" keep as the limit for a Malawi tank.
