Electric Blue Acara

I am looking to get an acara cichlid, would the acara be able to live in a 20 gallon long? Ive heard its fine and ive also heard its not fine (Im new to cichlids so bare with me)

I don't know who suggested this fish was fine in a 20g long, but they do not know much about fish, or this species anyway, Attaining 13-15 cm (5-6inches), it needs at least a 4-foot (120 cm) length tank for a pair. On their own.

It is a bane in this hobby that there are so many inaccurate sites on the internet. One has to learn which are knowledgeable and stay with those.
