So the dimensions of this tank are 1500 L x 500 W x 450 H = 330 litres.

Im wanting to stock it with 1 arowana 2 oscars and 1 golden nugget plec.

What are your thoughts on this, is this ok?

In a word, no.

I would think you would be looking at a tank size of 400 litres as a scant minimum for two oscars and a plec.

Generally you're looking at around 70-75 US gallons for one oscar, around 100 for two.

any suggestions on maximum fish size for that tank?

I think you could keep one oscar in there no problem. As to whether you could keep a plec as well, I'm not 100% on that. You'd need a LOT of filtration. Are there no other fish you like?

Out of curiosity, did you buy the tank specifically for keeping oscars etc, or did the potential stocking list come afterwards?

No i assumed it would be ok but after having a good look into them i can see it is in no way possible. well im deciding on whether a to get a 330 or a 260 i think 260 more likely as it will be upstairs and 330 has some weight to it. so don't know now i want bigger fish but just a few of, any ideas?

Ah I thought you already had the tank. That makes it easier then.

no its a fair bit of money to spend and i want to know if its worth it as i want cool fish with more personality i won'y get bored of ha thanks for all the advice aswell mate
