Eheim Underwater Vacum

If you do a quick search on +sludge +extractor, you see there are a number of threads where people rave about this piece of equipment. I can't speak from personal experience, but due to these positive opinions, I've always wanted one :good:

Thanks Bloo .

Have got the 2213 up and running , will remove the juwel filter in about 2 weeks . that will mean both have bee running for a month . should be long enough i think ...any thoughts ?

I must be doing something wrong though in general , because just when i think i am on top of it all , something crops up.........this time Algae :(

Yep sounds fine :good:

Nah, I have given up on the algae battle. It's me and the scrubber on a weekly basis! :fun:

Hi: back to your original topic :fun:

I got the Eheim cleaner a few months ago. Excellent piece of kit.

Two points, the tank needs to be 15"+ deep (I have a 70L tank which is too shallow for it) and it's not that good on sand which it sucks up behind the impellor assembly.

If you have a larger gravel bed tank my advice is 'Go for it!!'
