Eheim Pro 2 Problems

I've just bought a second hand Eheim Pro 2 and I'm having trouble getting it going. It appears to be primed and I've spent a good half hour sucking water up through the outlet to clear any air bubbles. When I plug it in I get nothing, not even the sound of the propeller turning, is this power related or would that be normal for something that isn't primed properly?

I always like to start with the easy stuff first, have you checked the fuse to ensure that the unit is getting power?

Yep changed the fuse with my light unit, definitely not the fuse. It's an american plug into a UK adapter, the one that came with it. The guy I bought it off seems genuine enough and its the same plug etc he used, it was stood for a few months after he took it off his tank.

The heater part of it works, I can hear it click when I plug it in, it's on a separate plug, normal UK one.

Fixed!

Because it had been stood dry for a while the impeller had become a little stiff, I gave it a little nudge with a knife to loosen it up, fired it up and boom it worked!

Happy chap now
