Posting in emergency section as need help ASAP, hope this is ok

Just got an Eheim Pro II 2028 with a tank from someone, filter was fine when i got there, come home and put pipes on (as instructed) and plugged in with the inlet and outlet in the tank.

I turned it on and then pushed the "priming button" down, and it started filtering, but at a really slow "dribble" i waited 5 minutes and the pushed the "priming button" down again, it has speeded up a bit, but is still coming out very slow (from the outlet)

Do i have to keep pushing the "big priming button" and does it take time to build up power or do i have a blockage or something???

Thanks for any help,

i took the media out if was really like "sludge", that has helped.

But tell you something, i have temporarily as am moving fish around all night, got a 30" tank packed with Malawi, and its running with the 2028 and a 2026

i would have thought these two filters in a 95 litre tank would make it a washing machine? but its quite manageable for the fish

If you had a 2026 and a 2028 for a 95 litre tank would you expect a "washing maching" effect for the water (not that its what i am trying to achieve)

Its gonna be a long night, got 2x Rio 300, 3x External Eheims and many fish to sort out

Fry lover ask in equipment and D.I.Y. they might be able to help.

did you clean the impeller? it transformed the last filter i did it on!
