Eheim Classic Started Wurring

hey

i have had the classic running for about 3 weeks and i noticed it making a whistling sound a few days ago, now its making a wurring sound. turning it off for 1 min then back on solves this for a bit, but it comes back.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

Maybe something caught somewhere? Open it up and have a look. Might be something caught on the impeller?

if i turn it off and open it up. do i need to emtpy the water from the caniste before i re connect it?

Well, i awoke this morning to a light whistling sound... I wonder if it will just go away?

I have the same filter, not the classic but same idea really. Just remove the top of the filter where the motor is and check for anything grinding or stuck in the blade. It's quite simple, You won't need to empty the filter but make sure to prime it if it has a prime function.
