Eheim 2215

Well i am just waiting for a Eheim 2215 to come for my new tank, i think this Model is filled with foam instead of the different noodles and pro stuff in my 2213 that is in my smaller tank.
Can i fill the new filter with the same stuff as the 2213? . Has anyone done this, i think it has to be more efficient then a load of Foam.

The nice thing about canisters is media flexability. Filled with foam it would mainly provide mechanical filtration. You can fill it with bio media for mainly bio filtration, or a combination of the two. Peat is a common additive, it softens water & lowers pH.
