Eheim 2213 Classic

Hello,

The Eheim 2213 Classic filter came with my second hand tank and I was wondering what filter media I should use. I've heard that the basic set up should be:

(from top to bottom)
Carbon Pad
Fine Filter Pad
EHFISUBSTRAT
Coarse Filter Pad
EHFIMECH

But I've also heard that 'Eheim Substrat Pro' should be used.

Also I want soft water in my new tank so thought that I may need 'Eheim Torf Peat Pellets'. Do these replace one of the other filter medias?

I'd scrap the carbon and use a fine filter pad in its place, scrap the EFI substrat and use the Pro instead, it has far more surface area.
If you want the peat granules and cant fit them in with the other media then scrap the coarse sponge, the EFI mech is doing the same job anyway.
