Ive just invested in a new Eheim 2128 and Im over the moon with it, but i am having a problem that I need help with If you own one.
When I need to clean the filter I push the red safety catch and pull forward the catch holding the pipes, and everytime I loose water its like an explosion, Like the valve does not quite shut in time, I have pulled slowly and quickly and always the same thing its a real pain I have to get a bath towel ready everytime. does anyone else have this problem or know what Im doing wrong ?

Hi,

I've got an Eheim 2026, but basically the same - lose a tiny bit of water (more like drops), but not an explosion. Probably stupid question to ask, and I'm sorry, but I assume you've turned the filter off when you do this?
