I have a 55g topical tank, with various inhabitants, I recently lost what I thought was a female angelfish, I have a male already. The reason I thought she was a female is I've seen eggs deposited on leaves and then watched the other angel swim over the top of them, I've never seen her do this. I'm guessing this is him fertilizing the eggs?

I havent had any luck with any of the wigglers surviving and i havent seen them attempt to protect them for a couple of years now.But as I say she died last week, however I have a stack of eggs on the leaves of my swords and also on the glass. Could he in fact be a she? Or do any of my other inhabitants have the ability to lay eggs like the angels?

My other fish roughly are: 4 Cory's, 6 neons, 6 rummy nose, 7 rosy barbs, 2 zebra loaches, 2 Queen loaches, I think there might be some khuli's but haven't seen them for a while. The others I know aren't the culprits: 4 platys, 1 bn.
Thanks
