Hi, i have had a tropical fish tank for 4 years now, but just recently i had to change a floresent tube and found some red/pink eggs next to the lighting and was wondering if anybody could tell me what they are please. As im new to this i cant work out how to put a picture up of them sorry.

If they are out of the water i would say they are some kind of snail eggs.

What species of fish/snails do you have? it will help people work out who's eggs they are :good:

It a bit like an eel, its about 20cm's long and light brown in colour, yes the eggs are out of the water up in the hood of the tank where the florescent tubes are.

I know this is of the topic, but how big is your tank?
As it would need to be quite large to stock those fish!!!

u need to rehome the following fish

2x angels-these can only be kept in this size of tank as a breeding pair on their own
clown loach-gets far too big needs a large tank and is a schooling fish
yellow cichlid-is probably malawis and will kill everything in the tank and needs different water conditions and can only be kept with malawis
2x suckie fish-if common plecs they can get up to 18inches +
2xoscars=get very big very quickly need a very big tank
reef fish - whatever that is, its too big already

2x catfish -it depends what these are

Thanks for the advice, but I was given the tank by a friend who was moving to a smaller house, and all of the fish in the tank (except oscars and clown loach) are what he had in it and said they are 2 years old or more. None of the fish are fighting or attacking one another.
