Hi
Well we released our copper female out of her chimney about 1pm yesterday and they didn't take long to get going :) :)

Found them at 11am this morning under the nest, which isn't a super one, wrappig away :) :) Watching closely it looks like even the female is putting some eggs in the nest. Dont know if anyone else has had that happen??

Netty's been taking pictures so should be some up later :good:

hey thats fantastic news, didnt take long at all did it.

both my girls helped with the eggs , the first spawn i did she was putting them in the nest before he did, think he saw her doing it then copied lol

awwww poor netty bet shes having a nervous breakdown

I'm remarkably calm at the moment Shaz.....honest :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Well here are a few pics of the spawning. Not so good as last time as it's a different tank (bit scratched up) and in a darker place.

Misty is out now and recovering with some BW. Can't believe the little boogers started without me

oh bless them, must be the mating season. We live in a terraced house and next doors have scaffolding up. Sitting at the kitchen table there are 2 doves they started building a nest in the scaffolding, builder has moved it once. She is now sitting there and the male is collecting twigs, he gives them to her and she weaves them in place. Fascinating to watch, but it will have to go!

YAY :hyper: congratulations :yahoo: some really good pics too, they both look so nice...i'll be after some fry when they are old enough

No probs.....lets hope we get more than last time eh  I'm just oozing calm energy at the moment :hyper: :hyper:

Shame about the Dove's Liz. We had a bird's nest at the back in a bush and every year my cat pinched the eggs out. They never learnt though

Thanks 5teady...really excited about this one. She looks like a double tail now though cos he took a nice chunk out of her caudal

NF........When I checked on Dad earlier he had decided to move all of the eggs to the other side of the polystyrene. No pleasing some fish
