i was looking in my tank just a bit ago and noticed my gold gourami was picking stuff off the sides of the glass constantly and eating whatever it is....

got a little closer and noticed super tiny white lines that move and wiggle , there about the size of this line or smaller _

there is a bunch floating around the tank as well as some moving all around the glass, it is quite gross

though it looks like my gourami is having a good time searching them out and eating them.

could this be harmful for anything in the tank??

could they have come in on the plants as well or what is the cause and prevention of the little white moving lines

i was gonna do some work in the tank after the great disaster i had last week but now im a bit scared to stick my hand/arm in there incase they stick all over my skin( i have a few cat scratches on my hand, they could wiggle in them i suppose and get in my body??????)

thanks, any advice is appreicated

thanks Wilder for the link

im not sure if i have planiaria or nemotodes... regardless i just done a major graval vac / water change (60%, hope that wasnt too much) and musta vaccummed up about 2 million of these little swiggely things... GROSS

i hope by me doing this daily(gravel vacs and water changes) and with the help of my gourami eating them i shall combat this....
im also not going to put any food in the tank since goldys eating the worms and my bristlenose has decided hes not eating anyways..

i think this may have happened since i left 2 algae wafers in there that the pleco wouldnt eat... oh well, just one more thing to drive me crazy

Just carry on with the gravel vac and water changes.
