well i finally changed over to my eco-complete substrate.i just replanted everything so heres a pic.i know the layout is in need of re-arrangement.the rock is pretty ugly but i need it so my clown can have a nice place to hide.i am considering other alternatives.i have some pvc pipe behind the driftwood but he seems to prefer hiding behind the rock.i am still going to move things around some more till i feel a little better bout placement.i dont know plant species but i know i have some vals, anubias, dwarf sag, java, cant recall the rest,oh and some stems in there also.i will post after i finally re-arrange since most was done while the eco-complete was still settling,i couldnt see a thing for hours.anyway i am open to re-arrangement suggestions just keep in mind the rock,oh and maybe some ideas for that co2 line.the diffuser is behind the fake driftwood.and some more species for the foreground that would look nice.i have real african rootwood but hated the leeching and discoloration.so i went fake.thanks

That substrate looks excellent, really natural! :hyper:
It'll look great when the plants fill out.
How many bags did it take and how deep is it?

well its a 29gal us and i used two bags for a depth around 2 1/2inches.
there is really no substrate behind the driftwood so that enabled me to get a little more depth in the tank. i think 3bags would have given me 3inches which is reccomended.

wait i just took another look and its just shy of a couple inches not 2 1/2. so i think i will get another bag and layer that.

well even though i said i needed that rock for my clown it really had to go imo.anyways i moved a couple things so heres where im at.i really need some foreground cover...ideas?...
