So, I've seen some beautiful Bettas and other fish that I would like to buy on eBay, although I'm a bit hesitant whether the fish will survive postage. The description says that if the fish are dead on arrival, take a photo of the unopened bag within the hour but still... I'm not sure.

I would love some advice from those of you that have bought fish from eBay before.

that's Modaz from the forums.....DP Fishways is one of the best place to get bettas, they're based down in Bournemouth!

Yeah, I've seen Fish 4 U. They don't appear to be selling Bettas though. Thanks for the advice.

Oh, Modaz... Great! Thanks for that. Have you bought from them before?

Yeah, Modaz does but not Fish 4 U.
don't think u get to see the male you are getting from fish 4u, they just have a generic fish picture up when they list don't they?
There's another 2 bettas from somewhere else up there atm, sq bettas I think.
You know transhipping from aquabid isn't actually that much think it works out £7 or £9 for one fish, I was asking kevin piper about it the other day.

It's not really the price that I'm bothered about - it's whether the fish will survive the journey or not.

well isn't that dependant on the fish at the end of the day, I think buying a fish and not being able to collect it yourself is always going to be a risk, regardless of what feedback they might have on something like ebay.....

Yeah, I totally agree. I just wanted some advice from members who had bought from eBay before about whether the fish were alive and well upon arrival.

sq bettas have good feedback, not sure if they are on here......maybe ask devon_charm what she has in at the moment, or if you're not in a rush but want good fish keep an eye on KG bettas website, that's kevin piper who tranships the bettas, also breeds his own! :good:

Cheers, much appreciated. Could I have the URL of Kenin Piper's website, please?
