Ebay Cryogenicaly Frozen Fish For Sale

When I read your topic title I thought maybe the guy was convinced he had come up with a method of freezing a live fish so it could be revived! Then he really would have been nuts.

I can see he just put an already dead fish in the freezer and is being silly putting it up for auction. Hopefully it had a good life before that anemone got it. :X

lol i thought the same as well!

btw that is sick-putting a dead fish in a freezer and then selling it on ebay a year later! crazy, who would buy that.

why would you keep the dead fish for a year????

hmmm my fish is dead... do i flush or do i freeze him?

IDIOTS

He didn't buy it only to freeze it. It was killed by an anenome sting then he froze it, which is only marginally better.

i didnt think anemone stings were that strong :/ also why the hell would he keep a fish with an anemone knowing it would kill the fish?

think about it. If you had a fish that you loved and it died, what would you do? By freezing it, you will be able to see that he or she is still with you. But, selling it on eBay is farfecthed.

it's not like he killed the fish on purpose (so far as we can tell) then froze it to make a profit. Obviously since the fish, no doubt, cost him more than 1 cent. And people bid on this sort of stuff. While it's not something I'd ever buy, who cares what he does with a dead fish?

I agree, the only shame here is that he kept it with an anemone that could kill it, but mistakes happen and not everybody thinks to do research about their pets. I never did...

In any case, this strikes me sort of like people who get their dead pets stuffed. really, if it was a beloved pet, he should have aken it to a taxidermist. can you imagine walking into the taxidermy place with a dead platy? Hello, i would like to get this mounted, please...

Once I had to put my pet hedgehog Harley in a blueberry box in the deep freezer until spring thaw came 'round and I could bury him. But really...selling a frozen fish on ebay? Many many kinds of strange all wrapped up in one.

He's no going to make a profit off killing a reef fish, freezing and seling it (possibly) on ebay. He's probably quite honest about the anemonie incident and is just having fun trying to sell it. I mean, come on - they are quite expensive!

I think it's quite funny (in an absurd way) actualy :p Certainly different compaired to most ebay-related posts lol

You do realize that just by having an anemone in the tank, does not mean it will kill something right? :p. The only shame is that such a beautiful (and EXPENSIVE!) fish died in the process. IMHO, it wasn't killed by an anemone, if it was, it would likely have been a very large one...

Personally, if I had a treasured fish..I don't freeze it, I keep the skeleton, etc. Is keeping a fish in a freezer for over a year wierd? IMHO a little, but my cousin has done worse. A dead oscar he kept in the freezer, a dead rat, and a dead 12 pound rabbit...
