Eastern NC aquarium clubs/groups?

I was wondering if anyone knows of any aquarium clubs or groups in the Eastern North Carolina area... There are none I can find...

Usually the better LFSs should be able to give you leads to groups in their area.

The Raleigh Aquarium Society (RAS) was founded in 1981 to "encourage and enhance the education, knowledge, and enjoyment of Society members at all levels of experience about the many aspects of the home aquatics hobby". Closest I could find. We have a few club members who drive 90 minutes to 2 hours each way for the monthly meetings. But I can understand that being more than some are willing to do. I drive about 25 minutes each way so it is easy for me.

As for saying knowing the basics means no fish is too hard to keep- try keeping wild altum angels

Do aquarium societies and clubs exist to any great degree anymore ? Maybe in the larger mega city areas. I know that the American Killifish Association has a large annual convention and some of their affiliates do annual shows like the Wisconsin Area Killifish Organization with its Egg Laying Toothcarp Jamboree. The national cichlid and Livebearer groups do likewise as well. Aquarium clubs serve a good purpose but find that getting people to help out is difficult. As in most things in life people prefer to sit on their hands and wait for somebody else to do it.
