I say platys, only because I heard that the fancy guppies can be hard to breed. :dunno: Feeder guppies are quite prolific, though, but not quite as pretty if that's what you're going for. Just make sure that you don't end up with too many fry that you know what to do with.

I find the mollies to be the easiest for me but I never try them in a short 60cm tank. For that size I ended up voting for the guppies. Even swordtails and platies wold be cramped in a tank that small. My mollies live in a 6 ft long tank along with some platies. The swordtails need to put up with a 4 foot tank along with some juvenile mollies that are growing bigger daily.

We have had over sucess with mollies in our big tank - we have to keep getting rid of them. In our little tank, it was guppies that did the best, we managed to sell off a few bags of them - especially males.

I had not thought of endlers. They will out-produce guppies because of a shorter gestation and a higher likelihood to not eat fry. If you just let them colony breed, they will quickly do this to a 45 gallon although they are small enough for a 10.

This is the basic color type that I let reproduce in my tanks.

thanks, is there any other equipment that i will need for endlers?

i plan to use a 15gal 60cm tank

will a bn plec be ok left in there??????

The BN plec should be OK with them but guppies are out of the question because they will cross breed. Any of the other livebearers would tend to eat the fry so they are not a good idea for breeding. I find my endlers do best if they are the only fish in the tank except maybe something to clean the food off the bottom.
